instead of worrying about being fat, worry about eating properly so that your baby grows to be healthy and well nourished.

Well that depends on you. If you eat right and exercise you should only gain the amount you’re supposed to. It has nothing to do if you’re a teen or not. My best friends cousin who is 17 just had a baby and she gained 50lbs, which was far too much.

that depends. Average is 25-35 lbs, but depending on your eating habits it could be more or less.

Um, sorry but you will get “fat.” It depends how much you weigh now as to how much you are supposed to gain. Assuming you are currently underweight, you should probably gain about 35-45 pounds with this baby.

It depends on how big you are now, your body type, and how your baby is carried. I carried my son high, was 105lbs at 5′6 before I got pregnant and I went up to 162lbs.
This time I started out at 108lbs and have only gained 15lbs, it’s a girl and I’m carrying her really low.
No one can tell you how you will carry your baby or how big you will get. That will have to be a surprise. Sorry.

I don’t think it has anything to do with your age. It all depends on your body type. You can start putting on weight immediately even if it doesn’t show.

depends on how big you are now, whether you eat healthy or not and if you exercises daily makes a huge difference in how much you gain….and its also depends how big you are when you show as well and how tall you are you have to take everything into consideration…..so who knows just take care of your self and don’t worry how much you gain or how big you look!

well how long is a peice of string - no one can answer that cause each case is different. in my first pregnancy i gained 20 kgs in my second only 3kgs. in the second i could not eat much so actually lost body weight and after the baby was 10 kgs lighter than when i started.
you will know the answer to your question when you know. every body is different and will handle it differently. eat sensibly and dont drink too many caffinated drinks like coke and deffinately stay away from those energy drinks like red bull as they are very dangerous to growing babies.

What does it matter how fat you get anyways? As long as you have a healthy baby, it seems irrelevent. It depends on the woman, everyone isn’t the same body structure. I would be more concerned about the baby you are carrying rather than getting fat. Best wishes for you and your baby.

first of all it has nothing to do w/ whether u’re a teen or an adult, well maybe a lil since teens’ metabolism is a lot higher than some older women, so ur body recycles the fat a lot faster…but anyway.
u don’t necessarily get fat, most of the weight u gain during pregnancy is in ur belly: the baby, placenta, and amniotic fluid. so most women don’t even change in body size except their stomach getting bigger, some women overeat and get fat, but it really has nothing to do w/ the pregnancy, they just gain weight from eating too much. so it all depends on ur body and how healthy u eat.

It has nothing to do with your age, just focus on eating right and keeping youself healthy for the baby. With my son i gained 50lbs i went from 98lbs to 150lbs I was 21 when i had him, i lost it about 7 months after i had him. With my recent little girl i gained only 13lbs (i am 26 now), i went from 115-128 i lost all of it plus some after only 2 weeks. It all depends on your body and genes, and what kind of foods you eat. Some gals gain weight right away others it can happen slowly up until about 4 months.
