What happens if you leave fat or meat out for a year in a box?

Assuming no animals touch it, please answer fat and meat seperately as well as box vs ground seperately. This is important. Thank you.

After a year you will have fat in a box, or rotten meat in a box and a very horrendous stench

It rots, it decomposes, it vanishes…. the meat and fat molecules break down first causing a rather UNPLEASANT smell then it begins to decompose… when it is all finished decomposing, there will be nothing left…. if you BURY the meat and fat, it will still decompose but at a slower rate because the air cannot get to it as fast…. It’s like if you take a BODY and put it in a coffin and bury it 6 ft under, within a few years, if you were to dig up and open that same coffin, the flesh and meat would be gone and all that would be left is bones… and a few MORE years and all that would be left would be DUST. Hence the saying at funerals–ashes to ashes and dust to dust.
