How do body builders reduce their body fat percentage to such a small number?

I workout 5 times a week, and generally consume a net caloric amount of less than 1000, and what I do eat is very healthy.

So, I’m basically wondering how body builders shift so much body fat before building muscle.
Thanks!

this is what i did to start my fat burning journey!
i ran 6 miles EVERY night for 2 weeks, which burned 700 cals and got my fat melting off, the disadvantage is that it also burns JUST A LITTLE bit up muscle, but after two weeks i started bulking up again and this is what i look like now!
Give me feedback on my body transformation so far plz!

Just a very strict diet.
Remember alot of bodybuilders are professionals. A normal person could not run 100m in 10s. In a similar way a normal person will struggle to get the body fat percentage of somebody that spends nearly all of their time bodybuilding.

Body builders do not always have such low body fat, they go through phases. The bulk up and add muscle and fat. Then they will “cut” and drop their body fat. They are very very strict on their diets and most important that is their life, they are professionals.

Bodybuilders utilize three methods for dieting. Low carb (ketogenic) diets OR high carb diets OR somewhere in between.
They also are the genetic elite. Plus the professionals use steroids, hgh, clenbuterol, t3, dnp, insulin, diuretics etc etc
