refried beans (very low fat), chopped onions and shredded cheese (low fat of course), then roll up, put on plate and smother with good chunky salsa.

You can always try using ground turkey instead of beef. With the seasonings and other items added, it’s hard to tell the difference.
Use part-skim shredded cheese also.

I would add onions and green peppers to your pan while cooking the beef, and be sure to drain off the fat! I would season with sea salt, chili powder, cumin, onion and garlic powder and some fresh cracked pepper. Once in your tortilla - top with some fresh tomatoes, or fat free sour cream! YUM!!!

Low fat refried beans, low fat shredded cheese, cooked rice or Spanish Rice, sauteed onions, green and red peppers, salsa.

Finely chop some veggies like bell peppers and onions and add them to the beef while you are cooking it.
Next time you could skip the ground beef. You can use ground turkey and add a beef bullion while you are cooking it. It will taste like beef but not have nearly as much fat.

Low fat cheese contains trans-fat in most cases! a healthier option for this dish would be to buy the mince by a reputable butcher, who can grind a lean cut for you. Mix the meat with boiled beans and add to a pan where you would have fried onion, garlic and green pepper. Avoid any type of cheese, since this dish is already loaded with tons of protein. just serve some homemade guacamole on the side, and some tomato salsa - a nice lettuce salad seasoned with coriander leaves, too….

well, the beef is the highest fat item in the burrito. leaving it out would be the healthiest, low fat option. however, if you must use ground beef, brown it off then drain first using a colander then spread onto a couple of layers of paper towels to draw off as much of the fat as possible. then put it back into the skillet (wipe excess oil from skillet with more paper towels first) with 1/2 cup water, one package taco seasonings and one diced onion. cover and simmer for 15 minutes (or according to the taco seasoning packet instructions). fill each tortilla with 2-3 tbsp re-fried beans, 1 tbsp of the meat mixture and some dices chili’s (fresh jalapenos will provide the most flavor punch), fold into burritos & place in a baking dish sprayed with low-fat non-stick cooking spray. top burritos with 2 tbsp shredded cheddar & bake for 20 minutes uncovered in a 350f oven. serve with brown rice, fresh salsa and chopped onions, low-fat sour cream if desired.
